100% blocks the light and am I a happy person. We live at an apartment in which an exterior light for the courtyard lit up our room like vegas lights. Blackout curtains did not completely darken the room but this did. Very simple to put up and can take them with us when we move.
I work nights. Needed something to completely shut daylight out. These didn’t job excellently.
• Easy to install. The velcro adhesives are more than enough and enable you to work with any kind of window frame.
• Size was 100% accurate.
• Material is light but excellent at reflecting light away.

This is thinner plastic but does a great job keeping out all light. This product was easy to install and Im sure will be easy to remove. Renter friendly.
Its ok to get one a little larger than your window as its thin plastic you can cut to size.
I have a neighbor who enjoys multiple (as in many, many) white string lights in her backyard. My apartment and bedroom face this over-the-top light extravaganza. My vertical blinds can’t make a difference. I bought the 75 x 59 Sumobaby blackout curtains in an effort to make myself more comfortable when the sun goes down. Had to cover 7′ tall sliding glass doors (two of them) so got out my sewing machine and made to fit. They absolutely black out unwanted light. It’s more a film than a fabric, but light does not even filter in around stitches. I used Velcro tape to mount the curtain. Ran the “hook” strip on the top of the door frame and sewed the other side to the top of the curtain. Voila! When I have had enough of the light harassment, I simply walk over to the sliding doors, reach up with the curtain and it goes into place in less than a minute. Hoping the neighbor moves, but in the meantime, this is an outstanding fix.
Amazing! This is a great option if you have too much sun coming in the windows. I’ve never used this type of product but I’m impressed.
I moved into a house in southern California with no insulation and the sun blasts through the living room windows. I waited until today to leave this review because the high is 94 today. Usually by this time (86 degrees) my house is hotter then outside, even when I keep my regular shades down. When you pass the windows, you can feel heat then it gets trapped in my house.
Not today! We cut it to fit directly on the glass so we can still open the windows on cool days. 86 outside right now, my house is usually about 90 degrees by now. Since it’s going to be hot today I shut all of the windows and shades in the morning before the heat came through, I have 1 side window in the shade that I opened and put a fan in and with this reflective window cover my house is only adding 73 degrees instead of 90. Sturdy material. The velcro works great, sleek black color really helps keep the room cool. Easy to use and worth every penny!
