Works good.
What I bought this for:
We live in the desert, and during the summer it gets exceptionally hot. We also have a dog door in our bedroom, which means we can’t keep the door closed. I was looking for something that would help block out the sun and heat but still be adjustable enough to work around the dog door.
What I like:
• Helps block sunlight and reduce heat coming into the room
• Adjustable design makes it easy to customize for non-standard openings
• Works well in situations where traditional curtains won’t work
• Lightweight and easy to reposition as needed
• Good solution for our specific setup
What could be better:
The material isn’t as thick as I originally expected, so it doesn’t completely block out all light. That said, it still does the job I needed it to do.
After using it:
It’s made a noticeable difference in managing sunlight and heat in our bedroom, especially during the hottest part of the day. The ability to customize the fit has been key for making it work with the dog door.
Would I recommend it?
Yes, especially if you need a flexible blackout option for a door, window, or space where standard curtains aren’t practical. It’s not perfect, but it’s effective and adjustable, which is exactly what we needed.
Very easy to install, no synthetic for? and it does a great job blocking the sunlight entirely. It’s not the best looking option, honestly. I wish it came in different colors (like a layer of a neutral color fabric) but still I’m satisfied with my purchase
I work night shift and these blackout curtains are a total game-changer!
I’ve struggled for years trying to sleep during the day with sunlight blasting through my windows. Regular curtains just don’t cut it — you can still see light coming through and it messes with my sleep. These blackout curtains though? They’re legit amazing.
When I pull them closed, my bedroom turns into a cave. Pitch black, even at noon. I can finally sleep like a normal person again without wearing an eye mask or taping foil to the windows. The fabric feels high quality, they hang nicely, and they don’t let even a sliver of light sneak through the edges.
Installation was super easy too. I’ve washed them once already and they held up great with no fading or shrinking.
If you work nights, early mornings, or just need a dark room for any reason, do yourself a favor and get these. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. Highly recommend!
How did I ever live without these? They’re perfect quality, thick and let no light through. Installation was incredibly easy, just tape and Velcro all included, and has stayed stable and attached without issue! You can easily remove when you want to let light in or open the windows. You won’t even notice from the outside, leaving the perfect appearance for your home.
